About the Job:
Schilling Beer Company is seeking a Packaging Assistant in a seasonal, part time, hourly position. This individual would assist in certain aspects of the packaging operations at Schilling Beer Co. Primary responsibilities would include washing kegs, packing cans in cases and building pallets.
Reports To: Packaging Lead
This position requires working 24 -32 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.. Additional hours may become available on a week by week basis but are not required or guaranteed.
Expectations & Duties:
- Assisting packaging staff in various duties.
- Weighing cans, affixing 4 pack holders, packing 4 packs in case trays, and building pallets.
- Keg washing and sanitizing via an automated machine.
- Prepping kegs for packaging.
- Maintaining a clean work environment, including cleaning equipment, scrubbing floors, and organizing supplies.
- Periodically transport supplies from our offsite warehouse to our Production facility.
- Implement best practices, company safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
Job Qualifications:
- Proper use of PPE, chemicals, and hot water.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, lift 55 lbs, team lift / move 170 lbs.
- Does not have an issue with repetitive tasks, takes pride in job, and strives for perfection.
- Desire to continue to learn.
- Forklift knowledge and experience is preferred but not required.
- Active Driver’s License.
Starting Pay Rate: $19 an hour
